I have a 2003 audi a4 3.0, would it be worth it to do a cat. back exhaust or to just replace the mufflers for a better tone? anyone have any advise of exhaust suggestions?

I'm getting Magnaflow 14816 mufflers and custom 2.5" piping.

i was thinking magna flow with the same size pipes lol. i was worried about the sound. ive heard there is a decent performance gain from it.

Your exhaust note will be changed with just the mufflers, but not the much. With bigger piping you supposely will get some extra hp/tq + louder exhaust. Search youtube, seriosuly )) you will find a lot of different setups.
One of the most common mufflers are magnaflow 14851's
