Default me vs my friend

my friend is getting the E36 Bimmers either the 328 or the 325 auto. now i have a 2000 a4 1.8t q tip. with a giac chip and airbox mod would i be able to beat him

You will lose - I'm pretty sure you'd have around the same power (he probably has more), but he's only got two wheels to spin, your engine is using at least 20% of it's power to spin your all-wheel drivetrain.

And what are you doing racing automatic transmissions anyhow? Honestly. Lame.

Incase nobody got the memo, apparently it's cool to race nearly 10 year old slow cars. Obviously it's to prove who has the coolest car and to prove how much of a badass somebody can be.

the design of the cars are fundamentally different and are made to achieve fairly opposite goals, which don't make for a meaningful comparison, espically considering their mostly stock state. The 325 and 328 will win out aganist anything less than a BT A4.

yes, things do change when we're talking about the twisties. However, I assumed the OP was refering to a straight line dig.
