well i took off one of my mufflers the other day(the 1st one closets to the front) to give my car some more sound. and it worked. has anyone else done this? is it gonna hurt my car?

I don't see why there'd be a problem passing emissions, I'm assuming the catalytic converter is intact.

was it maybe the resonator that you took off? Shouldnt hurt the car any.

No that would be the muffler itself the one in back is resonator This was one of my first mods.
It will pass because they dont know that the resonator is not a muffler.

BTW whats state you in Guru?

I recently did this on A8, added just a slight note, but I don't like how the stock muffler sounds, so I plan to have a full system built to replace it.
