hello there can somebody help i do have AUDI A6 1998 model,i have a problem on the dash screen when i drive it at 20 km/h is starting showing on the dash KM light and the beep is starting ,i dont know how to fix this problem ,pleease of anyone knows or had this problem on the past .URGENT BEKIM
Are you sure that the speed limit warning system did not get accidentally activated? The A6 has a system that you can set the speed that if exceeded it will beep and warn you that the preset speed has been exceeded. The manual will tell you hot to clear the speed setting. The happens to a friend with her car all the time... she accidentally bumps the button that engages the system.

Well i dont have a manual that is the problem like i said i checked with WINELSA but didnt give me nothing regarding to the this ,
well do i have to adjust it with vag-com and on which channel or is there anyway else.THANKS
I will have to look in the manual tonight. I never use the feature so I am unsure. Its pretty simple, something to do with the lever and buttons on the right side of the steering column.

I accidentally activated mine. To activate it I get up to the desired speed, then hold in the tripometer juke for a few seconds. That activates it. Can't remember how I deactivated it. I think I just hit the tripometer thinger again when the speed sensor alarmed.

either that or i think when u flick thru the screens on the wiper arm, has the button that u can click up or down, to move thru screens, think that mite deactivate it, not sure tho

I brought the manual for the car. This manual is for a '99 A6 (mines an '00 , but the manual I got with it is in French) I need to type in the directions, onless I can scan the pages. Will post later today.
Anyone know if the 99 dash is the same as the 98?

but in case on the future on you can need something from WINELSA any code or anything which you get it with VAG-COM i do posses this programs i will do my best ,also if you need VAG-COM i can send it over to you guys on EMail.
