Default General A4 questions

2005 AUDI A4 1.8T QUATTRO/SPEC EDIT

Now the 2005 B6 (not 05.5) we recently bought has the Projector headlamps as what seem's to be on every other audi. Also see a lot about upgrading to HID which is what I want to do. What I'm wondering is, is it a OEM looking cutoff line and spread with putting in HID bulbs into these stock lights? I've looked at upgrading standard headlights for vehicles that dont come with HID's at all, and it requires buying a projector to not have bad glare and get the cutoff line. Wasn't sure since it comes with halogen bulbs stock, and frankly I havn't had a chance to see the lights at night yet (we just bought it yesterday and fiance works 10pm-1am and takes it).

Another thing is what exaclty are Ecode lights?? I don't see any threads about what specifically they are or do or what the fuss is about with "upgrading" to them. Since all the car's come with projectors, I just see a simple plug and play kit being good enough.

Good thing about B6's headlights is that they all got lenses on their lowbeams. so when you upgrade to hid you wont have any problems with... but it might be slightly different light scheme ( on the ground). But they look good and dont blind other cars.
E codes is European version of the headlights, basically every b6 a4 out there has E codes. It doesnt have that yellow amber plastic piece and have a lense (i think) instaed of that for the parking lights.
Here is an example of the E codes

That helps. I finally saw the lights (cloudy day) against a building and see there is a cutoff line so that's a good sign.

Another thing I was wondering is the package of this car. It seems to have every special edition option, and dealer even showed Spec Edit (thats how it was shown on the website, top of my first post). I didn't plan on it being one, didn't even know they existed. The first code on wheel well slip is EOA which is No Special Edition. I'm assuming it was standard premium that first guy spec'd out to have all the options as special edition, instead of just buying one with the package?

I'm getting connection interruptions a LOT trying to post. Getting annoying. Sometimes deleting half my post it suddenly lets it work. What gives??

Anyhow, also have black leather, sunroof, 17" 5 spoke wheels, 12 way power seat, 6 disk, and sat radio.
