Default Buzzing from climate control!

I have this suble but very annoying "buzz" coming from my climate control in my '01 A4. I cannot figure out where exactly it is coming from- anyone else ever encounter this? What was the fix?

Thanks!

just fixed same problem in my 2001 S4. there is a fan inside the climate control pannel. it sucks in air for measurments. it gets dusty, and starts to make noise. if you have warranty, they will replace the whole climate control unit (they did it for me). if you do not, try to take the unit out, and clean in yourself.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure if my warranty still covers that or if it is drivetrain only now... I'll check. Does anyone know how to take the unit out?

I had the same problem on my 02 S4. the bad thing is you can't just replace the fan you have to replace the hole unit and it is almost $700.

I have the same problem with my 2000 A4. Does anyone know how to remove the fan and clean it?

Wow I hear that sound too sometimes. Was hoping it wasn't anything major. So it has to be cleaned? Doesn't make sense replacing it if it's going to suck in more dust again. Any word on how to remove and clean it.

Okay so that's what that annoying random buzzing is. It almost sounds like something about to short out.
