does anyone know if the outside mirrors from a 2001 s4 will work on my a6 2.7t w/ memory seats. my driver mirror was damaged and dealer wants over $600.00 for new. i found a used set of "oem" chrome mirrors on ebay but seller only states they fit 01 s4. i checked with local dealers and 1 says yes and other says no.

My parts database (Motors Collision) indicates the 2001 S4 mirrors are not the same as would go on a 2001 A6 2.7. 2 different mirrors for A6 - with seat memory and without. My suggestion would be to keep looking until you find a direct replacement. Note that my database indicates that the "mirror assembly" for your vehicle DOES NOT INCLUDE THE MIRROR HOUSING or the "trim cover" (the triangular piece that goes between the mirror and the door).
