RE: Thermostat

Just did the thermostat replacement, it is behind the water pump where it should be. I am guessing you want to know which one is the water pump though. It is on the timing belt. There is a dummy pulley, a tensioner, and the water pump, along with your (with teeth) dual cams and the crank. It is not so scary, just turn the crank to line up the markings (top dead center) and mark all the toothed objects with where they allign on the timing belt. Then you are ready to start pulling off the belt. The tensioner is a dual wrench kind of deal with a slot to loosen it and then a bolt to remove it. Turn the slot first. Then just take off your water pump and you have your thermostat. Then reverse, remembering to perfectly align the teeth markings and DON'T EVER TURN ANYTHING. (I would recommend replacing the water pump, thermo, timing belt, tensioner, and dummy pulley at the same time and you can get a kit for that for ~200 bucks).
