1997 Cabriolet Electrical Problem?
Yesterday, when I started up our '97 Cabriolet after work, I noticed that the blower for the heater had stopped working. (I had that "oh... great!" moment).
However, on the way home, I noticed that my blinkers had stopped working as well. And upon further inspection, I noticed that several of the electronics had stopped working. I checked the fuses when I got home and, as far as I can tell, none of them seem to be blown. Here are the things that no longer work: - Heater/Air Blower - Blinkers (Both right and left) - Power Windows (Single power window buttons) - Power Locks - Power Convertible Roof - Back Window Defroster Blower - Fog Lights (I think) - Windshield Wipers These are a few things that ARE STILL WORKING: - Automatic Power Windows in Console (activated before putting the top down) - Hazard Lights (Both blinkers work here - just not when activated by the turn signal arm) - Headlights, Brake Lights, Interior Lights - Radio - Almost everything else, but I wanted to list these since it may help in diagnosing the issue Like I said, I checked the fuses, but some of these items seem to be on different circuits, so I think it is more of an issue in the electrical system somewhere. Does anybody have a good understanding of the Cab electrical system that could help point me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |
