i would say go EFI, chip the ecu with the qlcc chip, BPV, boost control valve, stiffer wastegate spring, go 3 in with the exhaust, maybe buy replacement springs to lower the car

Start by sending me some of that cash, and then go check out the project page at www.motorgeek.com, and then go shopping at www.034motorsport.com

EFI setup with a bigger turbo and better exhaust is the way to go for max HP with a 10v motor, and then there's always the 20v motors.

Thank you! excellent site(034). Couple more questions, this is the 10v motor, right?
and whats the I5??? I am very experienced with cars, but audi's are greek to me.
what would be the bet set-up for 2000 grand? your help is much appreciated.
and how much will the head hold tillI need to do head studs and gasket ifI raise the boost?
and turbos, any ideas there??? Thank you thank you!!!

I5 = Inline 5 Cylinder as opposed to I4, I6, V6, or V8

The motor and stock turbo can handle about 250-275 hp before you need to really start beefing things up. The CIS fuel injection that comes on the cars works until about 220 hp, then you need to go with a stand alone and EFI setup from either 034 or Megasquirt. If you plan on going for 250+hp, don't even waste your money on anyhting for the CIS, start out with an EFI setup and tune from there. There are a few bolt on turbo upgrades that will put you in the 300hp range, but you should build the motor with ARP studs and some stronger rods before getting that far into it. If you really want to go crazy, there are some people who have built 450hp 10v motors with HUGE turbos and water/meth injection, using custom intake and exhaust maifolds and front mount intercoolers with CO2 coolong. Buyt they aren't really streetable cars.

RE: 88 QT 5000 power mods!!!

much appreciated. let me get this straight, say i do the stand alone EFI, ok about how much power would that put me at?

and then say a moderate turbo. would that be going to far for the rods and head gasket to hold??? I mean sure the rods would hold out before the head, but how much more.
I just really dont want to do a tear down on an engine right now. Head i can deal with, I put studs on 1000 horse power cummins, but taking out an engines are a pain in my A$$

So what would you do Kelly, 2 grand, want to be streetable, with out tearing into engine. reliable. And sorry for being so picky, i want this right the first time.

thanks again!!!

it would also be handy if you did acustom Spectreintake with a K&N filter, and upgrade the brakes so you have 2 pot calipers all around so u can stop as fast as u got going. Also for oil changes mightI suggest Castrol Syntec? The reason all this stuff is so cheap is because everyone in my car club (Budget Touge Racing) has only cheap [yet effective] mods done to their rides.
