93 100cs warning indicator beep beep beep
So my 1993 audi has lost its mind, or at least is sounds like it. The warning indicator intermittently beeps and sometimes it coincides with a flashing light that a bulb is out. All of the bulbs have been checked and seem to be working fine. The beep can go off once in 2 hours or can beep every 5 seconds for 10 minutes. Any suggestions on how to stop the beep. Yes, I have tried turning the radio up very loud. I am very close to leaving it on the side of the road for the taking. It has over 225K miles and am looking to get another winter out of it. It is in excellent shape except for this issue.

The bulb oout warning will come on if you recenly installed a bulb and it is outside of Audi specs. The bulb may be operating, but because the system works by measuring resistance across the bulb it will warn you that the bulb is inop. You should probabably check the bulb sockets for corrosion too.

Thanks for the advice. I checked all the things I think that instrument cluster monitors and all is fine. I'll check and clean the contacts on the lights and see what happens. One new piece of information - I noticed that the directional arm "momentary on" position for the high beams does not work. The regular high beams "on" position works fine. Is there any chance that this switch malfunction is causing the insanity-inducing beeps?
Thanks again for all the advice

RE: 93 100cs warning indicator beep beep beep
I have a similar problem with my Audi100 1993 2.0 un-leadded. I only have it a few months. But the 3 beeps is driving me nuts. Some times it wont beep for maybey 10 miles. Other times I get 100 yeards and it starts. It can do 3 beeps and stop or repeat the 3 again. It used to light up the oil lite at the same time, but now its just beeping with no warning lights. There oil level is always ok. The rev counter is intermitant also.
Could it be a bunch of bad solder joints at the back of the dash cluster or bad/dirty/disconnected sensors oil/break/coolant.
Any help apreaciated.
Mike
