'93 Audi 90s: Fuel delivery system - Air conditioning relationship?

A week ago I started the car and immediately turned the air on...the rpms started dropping and the car died. After some DIY tests I figured out it's the FP. I bought a new FP and a Fuel filter and changed them yesterday. So far so good, the car runs fine (knock on wood), I even turned the air on couple of times - no problem. This morning I tried doing thesame thing I did a week ago -start the car (while warm) and turnon the air conditioning instantly. Well, as soon as I turnedon the air the rpms started dropping again. I turned the air off and kicked the gas pedal couple of times, the car luckly kept running.

I can't see the relationship between the air and the FP.They don't have any fuses in common, the relay is different too.Do you have anyideas what could the problem be?

You might want to have the AC checked to make sure it has plenty of oil (Not too much) or check it to see if it is over charged causing the compressor to be hard to turn. Normally when the AC is turned on the engine RPMs increase just a little bit to accomodate the increased stress on the engine.
