Default Audi 100

I used to own a a4 12v and then i sold it due to many problems that were about to go wrong with it. Im out in colorado now and getting ready for the winters and am looking at inexpensives audi's again. Ive found a few decently priced 100's with around 150k on them or less. Are they any cheaper to maintain than a4's or is it just a luck of the draw? Also what are the big breaking points on the 100's. I know the common audi issues but anything different for this. Thanks

- if this isn't the right subcategory, where should i go for the help.

Nothing specific was for my Audi 100 AAH quattro. I had more troubles with climate (flaps were not working for certain modes like defrost) rather than with engine or suspension.

For this age I would check:

1. what is the engine type - how does it run, any problems with overheating (check coolant), noise from pulleys, etc.
2. I never had automatic 100, but manual was reliable
3. suspension is iron, not alum - comparing to A4
4. climate was sort of buggy (see the beginning of the post)
5. I had 2 failures of gas pump (about $120 to repair myself) - most likely because of low gas quality and running low gas level

If you have specific questions - bring it here
