Does your "Cold Start Enrichment Valve" and "Thermo-time switch" work? Injector is on the rear end of the intake manifold, held in with 2 bolts, switch is in the radiator.

There is a time graph in the manual that tells you how long the enrichment valve should be open at any given temperature.

This is the equivalent of a choke on a carbureted engine.

Cheers,

George

Your car is probably equipped with the Bosch LH-Jetronic system. If the Mass airflow sensor (MAS) is at fault you should be able to read some fault codes stored in the CPU. However I don't know the procedure for the Euro models.

RE: audi 100 airflow meter

I gotta give a correction on the "cold start valve". On my old car it was at the rear of the manifold, on my '90 100, it is about at the middle of the manifold on the left side, passenger side US autos.

Hell, the whole manifold is different from the older cars.

Uh-huh, my car is 15 years old, and I love it, and talk about the "older cars". Go figure. Who can brag about their 15 year old Ford or Chevy?

Cheers,

George

I really would like to get closer to 2000 model, though, price permitting.:):)
