Default Audi 5000CSQT Prospective Buyer With Questions!!!

I have a lot of questions, I've used the search function and gained some basic knowledge of the cars but still have questions. oh and hello all!

What sort of h.p+torque are these cars putting out?
Are there tuner friendly i.e more boost+BIG fmic (front mount intercooler)?

I know they're not exactly a sports car but I like to tune cars that I buy and have fun with them.

What exactly does the "Olympic Edition" have equipped that the "regular" 5000 Awd's don't have?

Is there anything I should look out for when buying one other than timing belt, head gasket, regular leaks and things like that?

And any other info towards these areas would be appreciated!

Given the age there could be several annoying minor problems with these models but overall they are solid and quite reliable and many are still on the road. If you never had a Quattro, make sure that the AWD system is good working order. As I have heard that Audi doesn't sell the drivetrain piecemeal but in rather large chunks. As far as mods this has to be the ultimate that I have read.

thanks, I looked into the site and I saw a lot of photos (now I want to slap a kit on this thing which is impossible to find)

as an update the car is awesome, I did the upper rad hose and put in a test pipe, cat was plugged up. it does need spark plugs, cap/rotor, coil, fuel filter and an air filter but that's minor work easily done myself.

since it is a turbo car it's easy to get h.p out of it. But the problem is knowing when to stop, i'd hate to spin a bearing or throw a rod so what's the max these "stock" engines can take for boost?

cam, cat-back, intake system, chip, up the boost, bigger intercooler, bigger injectors, stand-along fuel/air management system, am i missing anything?

A lot could be done but it all depends on how much you want to spend! Check out sjmautotechnik.com they might have some info on how to increase the boost safely by placing shims under a spring in the waist gate (I think???) but ever since they redid the web site I can't find it.

I forgot to thank you by the way.

as an update I did all the intake hoses, vacuum lines, a few sensors, the over-boosting problem. I'm looking to spend around $1000 cdn or so.. they're 180 bhp, I'd love to get 300 bhp out of the thing if possible
