Kits include components mfd. by OEM quality TUV/ISO 9001/TS16949 certified manufacturers. Nearly all kits include a Saleri of Italy water pump. Saleri is an O.E. supplier to VAG Europe. This means that they are a direct supplier of water pumps for Audi, Vw as well as BMW, Fiat, Ferrari, Maserati, and Ford of Europe to name a few.

FAQ: Why do we include coolant in all of our timing belt kits?

Pictured Example. Blauparts purchased a used 1997 Audi A4 with approximately 90,000 miles, which had 1 previous owner. The previous owner had every service record from the date of sale, regular oil changes, preventative maintenance, and took really good care of the car. However, note the sediment or contamination of the G12 coolant that was removed when we thoroughly flushed the system. Even when using approved coolant, years of continuous circulating through the engine causes a measure of sediment to buildup.

Blauparts sells timing belt kits with enough coolant to thoroughly flush / fill the cooling system. To ensure that your new timing belt components (especially your water pump) last, it's important to re-create the engine condition as it was when it left the factory, which means removing all contamination within the cooling system and engine block. See illustrations and example above.

Top 3 Reasons Why You Should Flush Your Audi Coolant Antifreeze When Performing A Timing Belt Replacement:

1. When was your coolant changed last? The combination of chemical additives contained in coolant (even long-life coolant), responsible for retaining alkalinity and inhibiting corrosion within the engine's cooling system, over time become depleted. Similar to oil, coolant eventually breaks down, becomes weak, and "gets dirty." For maximum corrosion protection and prolonged engine life, flushing Audi coolant every 3 to 4 years (40,000 – 50,000 miles) is important.

2. If your not the original owner, are you unsure what kind of coolant was used in the car? Have you, or the previous owner ever added coolant to the system that did not meet the G12 specification?

3. If your vehicle was manufactured before 2006 it was filled from the factory with normal (1st generation) G12 coolant. Timing belt replacement is a great opportunity to upgrade to improved G12+ coolant. Read what makes G12+ (plus) coolant better.

Note: If you can't confirm 100% that your coolant is not contaminated and free from contamination, do the new water pump, related components, and yourself a favor and thoroughly flush the system during timing belt replacement.

It has been noted that due to time constraints, inconvenience, and profit, many individuals, mechanics, and repair shops do not take the extra time needed to thoroughly flush the entire cooling system prior to the installation of a new Audi water pump. Just draining the cooling system and refilling it is not enough! Thoroughly flushing the coolant involves the engine block, radiator, heater core, and hoses. Cutting corners now adds time, labor, and money later. See our Coolant Draining Flushing Filling Service Bulletin.
