Default RE: fuel pump relay problem

CHeck the fuel pump... I had this problem on my 5000,CS turbo, I found that initially it wouldstart and run then If I were to shut the car off there would be no relay action , only that it would be getting hot, (Cause it was trying to actuate the fuel pump and it was seized....a while later (4 to 5 hours the pump would un-seize and start again...
I was told that it might be a pump from someone on this site and so I replaced the pump and had no further problems....)

Mostly when the fuel pump siezes up it causes the relay to over heat and stay opened or closed..
