Who make/where can I find the self levelling shock absorbers fora ~1990 urquattro without emptying my wallet and bankaccount?

I really want to retain the self levelling, but VAG-prices are really prohibitive here!

Are these a Nivomat style shock? If so you may be able to purchase them directly from Boge, the manufacturer. Nivomat's have become popular on quite a few performance cars and Boge shocks may be purchased retail if you ask around.
