who went synthetic?
 

I called my local audi dealer today, and he suggested that I use 10W-30, or 5W-30(synthetic).
Have you guys had better success with a particular brand of oil. I formerly used Mobil synthetic on
the Mb's which seems to work well.

I have a good machine shop where the owner builds stock muscle cars for the drag strip, his phylosophy is to buy the cheapest oil and change it regularly. Since this guy has built many winning engines and has trophys to prove it I won't question his 30+ years of experience. I use synthethic 10W-30 from Wally world, it is fully synthetic for almost half the price of Mobile 1 or other major brands. For everyday driving it is more than adequate and I still change it every 3K.
