Arrow Code P-0730

Hello, I bought All road Audi 2004 Turbo All Road with 168,000 miles in November 2011, I am having a problem that it starts slipping in drive initially but the runs fine, checked with auto parts shop with a device found Code P-0730,please let me know what could be the problem, moreover where is the transmission oil dip stick , i opened up the hood and couldn't find any place so i can check the transmission oil level , is it hidden some place, couldn't find in the owner's manuel either. Thanks

What is the approx price to get Transmission oil change???

The transmission fluid would need to be checked. It has to be done at a certain temperature & from underneath.A scan tool with data is recommended for temperature checking.
As far a a dipstick , there is not one. The manufactures removed them to prevent bubba hacks from putting in the incorrect fluid.
As far a price on a tranny service i would think $250-300 depending where you are. Don,t waste your money on a tranny service until you know the integrity of the transmission. If the fluid is burned & black stick a fork in it , the transmission service won't do you any good.

First off the vehicle has to be on a level surface to check the transmission fluid level. That means you need a lift or will have the car on jackstands at all 4 corners. The larger plug will need to be removed with the engine running while monitoring the fluid temperature. The fluid should not run out at all before 30c (86f). Monitor transmission temp until 40c (104f). if fluid runs out at some time between 30 & 50 degrees c then the fluid level is correct.
If no fluid runs out you will need a special transmission fluid filling tool to add fluid.
