ECU/Chip upgrade selection

I just joined the forums and thinking of upgrading ECU for my '02 Allroad Quattro. Any recommendation which one to get, i.e: APR, Neuspeed, Dahlback, etc? I'm aiming for the Dahlback ECU upgrade + catback...It gives an approx 330HP/390 lb torque. Let me know what you think!! Thanks

Go with the one that has smooth power!! All of those you listed are good companies.
Maybe you can "test" some of the ecu upgrades! Like a trial to see if you like it. lol I've heard of it.

RE: ECU/Chip upgrade selection

I recently had my ECU flashed with GIAC's program through AWE Tuning. I also upgraded the airfilter and replaced both diverter valves with Hyperboost. Which ever chip you choose, I stringly recommend the filter and diverter valves. I did that a week before the ECU and the power improvment was very noticable-much better and faster throttle response. ECU was $595, Diverter valves were $100/ea and the filter was $47. Total was <$850 for ~320 HP/360 Tq. It's all very easy install as well.

i tested the apr on mine and it was ridiculously fast! and smooth as well. Only prob was 1st gear is just too short. almost just as fast by starting in 2nd. SO MUCH TORQUE!

Do you think there would be any issues with the added power going through the auto tranny- 05' allroad?
Has anyone compared these chips specifically for the allroad?
I like the divert valve, filter and ecu chip idea.

thanks

Try www.speedtuningusa.com I had their ecu for my Volvo 850 and was very pleased! For $275 you can't go wrong. I think Oliver(owner) has an Audi himself.

The tranny will hold power up to about 450 hp. once above that then you have problems. But you should be ok with chip, filter, and exhaust! That will make it run great
