Has anyone tried a Allroad coil spring conversion kit?
I Just bought a one owner 04 AR with 137K and I was knew it had existing suspension issues. It was OK on level 3 all week until Friday AM. The suspension dropped all the way to the lowest level and the car is not drivable. I think the compressor is bad( runs- but very noisy) and at least one front bag is leaking.
I am strongly considering replacing the suspension with an Arnott or Blauparts coil spring conversion. I would like to hear feedback pros & cons from anyone who has done this. How is the ride/ handling? Quality? How satisfied are you?
I did see one post of an Arnott set up that bottomed out in the rear while carrying luggage and passengers. Then I saw another post that said Arnott solved that by using heavier springs.
I won't drive the car off road very often and mainly will drive the car by myself. I am more concerned about really good handling. That's what the Blauparts ad promises.

hi there new to the thread, and yes i have a allroad and one of the air shocks went out. The price quote was $500 for one or $800 for both the front. My answer was f that. I went ahead and tried a coilover first and it rode way too stiff for me. Then I contacted the same company and told them my issue, they went ahead and told me to send them back and for $970, I got a coil spring conversion kit. It rides at level 2 and it feels great over bumps and turns.
If your limit on suspension is over $2000 then try the 2Bennett coilovers.
Good luck
