Default navigation system on 2001 allroad

i was doing a search not too long ago, and i came across a 2001 allroad with navigation system. when i first bough my allroad some one told me that audi doesnt have nav system on the 01 model but last week i came across one with nav. here is the question. do u think is worth having one put by audi??

Allroad 2001 did not have the option of Navplus in America, although it did in most other countries. I am pretty sure it cannot be retrofitted. It is great to have but the interface is not as freindly as BMWs iDrive.

see my links below. I've added the Nav+ and have been extremely happy with the upgrade (since Feb 2004). Actually, adding the Nav+ (CD-based) and RNS-E (DVD based) isn't as hard as you would think.

There is a community of folks in the US that are adding these systems. Start reading www.navplus.us so you understand the options etc.

PS: The US-based Navi in the a 2001 allroad (or any allroad prior to 2005.5) is "OK" at best.
