Superchips or APR

Superchips or APR
Anyone have any advice, or know of any reviews of Superchips vs. APR ECU upgrade for an Allroad 2.7T (03 model)?
Superchips is cheaper and offer less power/torque, but APR (as well as more power) offers ability to change between various ECU programs via cruise-control stalk (and allows a few other things like ability to reset fault codes etc).
I'm interested in info on smoothness, reliability, fuel consumption, noticeable differences between them in terms of power/torque etc.
Any info or pointers appreciated!
Thanks
John
