RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
I dont have this problem cause i have the 6 speed. I heard all the problems are with the tip.
Get a six speed, you wont regret it! |
RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
I have a '02 with about 68k on it and it has a Tiptronic. I got it CPO with 50k about two years ago. The only problems I have had so far are a blinker relay, radio issuesand a ride height sensor gone bad. All fixed under the warranty. My wife just approvedthe idea of a new Q7 so it might be up for sale soon.

RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
I havethe 2002 allroad with tip and so far no problems. I just bought it though. There's 70,000 miles on it right now. Drives awesome (my first audi). After i bougt it i took it to the audi dealership here in Madison WI and they found out that one of the turbos is going out, so they said i should get both replaced.... not a big deal cause i have a full warranty on it. Do they let you keep the old turbos? to rebuild or something, they should, i boughtthem right!
Anyways, i'm happy with it so far I guess if i had to %^&$# about something it would be the brake dust the front tires give off, i clean the every other day. |
RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
Which wheels do you have? if you havethe two piece ones, those are a bitch to clean.

RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
i have the one piece rims. i was thinking of getting the dust shield for the front rims.
off topic again but do you guys notice a lack of throttle responce off the get go? just for a few seconds then it really grabs. I use to own a honda civic that felt the sameway. My tahoe on the other hand.... once you give it gas it goes. Is this kinda normal for the automatics? Would a ecu tune do the trick? I got a pcm tune on my tahoe and that worked well. Does the ecu tune void any warranties? Might be a stupid question but what kind if motor is in my 2.7t. I heard it's the same motor as the S4? |
RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
its a biturbo v6. The tips will have a little lag. Check your Diverter valves and throttle boot. They go bad causing those problems. Upgrade to 710n divert valves. A ecu tune will most likely void warranty but you will love it once you get it. Most chips give around 310 hp and around 350 tq. So a increase over your 250 hp. You will notice it! haha

RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
I mean is it a B5 motor? What does that mean? and what does a tune go for?
|
RE: thinking of getting an allroad 2002
yeah its basically a b5 s4 motor. b5 is the version of s4. the b6 is the next body style and the b7 is the newest body style. ecu tunes go for around 600 bucks.
