Default Turn signal solid, not blinking

2002 Allroad, turn signal stay solid, not blinking.
Hazard switch: all blinking

Is there a separate relay for the turn signal and the hazards?
If the hazard relay is used for both, what may cause the turning signal to stay solid/not blink?

If there is a separate turning signal relay? Location? How does it look (most relay have a 3 digit big letter number printed on them: what is it)?

Turn signal relay is built into the hazard flasher, 2 relays in there.
I replaced the relay, working since.

Note: have know good working (from my 2003 A6) here if you need.

Yep your flasher switch is bad should only take a few minutes to swap if you buy a replacement. You just have the gently pry the trim panel off and you should be able to pull the switch out of the dash. If your more skilled with your DIY abilities you can replace the relay in the switch or you can swap the flasher relay to the blinker circuit if you don't mind not having your hazards.
