Turn signal weirdness

Fairly new to me 2005 Allroad, everything has been working fine until yesterday when this started: apply turn signal (left or right) lights illuminate and stay on. No blinking. Both sides react the same. Bulbs light front, rear, both sides and side indicators all light, no bulbs appear to be out. Turn signal fuse is ok, I replaced it just to be sure. Sometimes I get a small icon lights up green on the speedometer with arrows pointing in opposite direction with a small "1" in the middle. Anybody have an idea what is up with these turn signals?

As in another thread I would recommend checking the signal fluid, but from what I see and experienced, turn signals are a common problem in AUDI.

Had the same symtoms just a few weeks ago with my 2004 2.7. I do virtually no work on my cars; it was quickly diagnosed by the mechanic I go to for electrical things. The turn signal control is integrated with the hazard switch and that had to be replaced. The part was obtained right away from a part supplier in the region, took the Allroad in the next morning and got it back late that afternoon --$167.66 including $50 for labor. Good luck.

BTW, mine started not-blinking a given evening, started working fine the next morning, but went bad again within hours and didn't come back. Never noticed your speedo experience, but I took the car in the next day.

Came in to say this...it’s your hazard switch.
