Default What oil viscosity for over 150k?

I have an 02 Audi Allroad... I live in California and all year round it's pretty warm or hot, I've used Valvoline Synpower 5w30 but I was wondering if I could use 10w30?

30 weight oil is rather thin and can some times seep past seals and rings. On higher mileage vehicles its better to stick with the recommended 40 weight such as 0W-40 or 5W-40
