All I have is a 3" downpipe and exhaust on an automatic 2WD, will this chip work?

Yes, I used this with all stock parts.. later adding exhaust, intake and a Audi TT BPV.

probably because you can buy a BRAND NEW APR chipped ECU for $399, including the same day shipping.
