Sorry I'm bumping an old thread but don't waste your money on these. I was thinking about getting a performance chip too, but it looks like these things don't do crap. I was reading this article about it, and it looks like these things don't work at all

Just to name a few,

You have to know the difference between ebay crap and an actual tru chip.
For Audis, the above companies have created true "Chips"
Only the older Audis need to have an actual Chip installed, the newer ones just
get hooked up and have the ecu Flashed.

Actual gains from stock to stage 1 are about 50chp and 50ctrq. Dyno proven.

Just do more research and know whats what.

Allot of it comes from upping the boost from 7psi (if I'm not mistaken) to 16-18psi depending on which brand you get.
Of course The ecu is different once flashed, Much more aggressive fuel maps and timing maps are incorporated,
