Cheap Replacement Key - Please help
Hello everyone,
I tried to search for this, but only found info about specific situations where people bought uncut keys off of eBay. I have a 2000 audi A4 and have lost my final key. What is the absolute cheapest way that I can get a replacement key for my car? Money's a little tight and I'd prefer not to have to pay $160 for a new programmed key.
Thank you much.

If your car is a US model 2000 then you have no Immobilizer.
Don't let anyone tell yo the key wont start the car- the remote lock/key fob is a totally separate system to the immobilizer that later cars have, and you need NO programming.
1).If you have no key call the dealer and see if they'll send you the key, they can cut it per your VIN# if you provide ownership proof.
2). if you have a key you can mail it to a place (in seattle there's Bulger lock, google them, or search laser key cutting and find someone more local) that has the proper mill to cut the VAG key. Usually $40 for just a valet / key blade.
Done.
