Here's the short story.
Very recently I bought a newer car to replace the 2000 Audi, but I didn't want to trade it in.
It has 215K miles on it, almost all highway, and runs and drives just fine.
The driver seat is ripped and I took out the fog lights, but other than that it's in good cosmetic shape too.

I know I'd get more if I parted it out, but it's still a functional vehicle with 2 new rear wheel bearings, 4 new coil packs, and a lot of great performance mods - new 3" high flow cat with new O2 sensors, full stainless Borla exhaust, Stasis Coilovers, Forge 007 diverter valve, chipped ECU, 034 snub mount, 17" RS4 wheels.

So with all that stuff, plus doors, bumpers, trunk, hood, lights, engine, transmission, interior, airbags, instrument panel, intercooler, radiator, K03 turbo, interior stuff, extra 15" Audi wheels, etc, I think parting it out could be worth well over what I could sell it for.

I'd like to try asking for $2000 for the car as it is. Car is located in CT.

I'd like some feedback too - do you think I'd be asking too much for it, not enough, and if I did part it out, is there a demand for the stuff?

I really wanted to. I was looking for a good condition low milage Allroad with a manual transmission, but I couldn't find one. Also the 2.7 twin turbo engine just isn't as reliable or good on gas. So I got a 2007 Outback.

 

Would you be interested in a trade at all? I have a 1990 awd eagle talon, 5sp manual. 120k miles. adult driven, stock, nice. Also have a 96' caprice cop car (impala ss clone) with 89k miles.

I have the interior fully vacuumed and cleaned out, just about ready to go. I'm going to start rounding up my spare parts - extra stock ecu, tie rod ends, 15" 8 spoke wheels etc, and put them in the classified sections.

I've been looking on and off for an A4 just like yours in the price range. Jumped the gun and bought that talon this past winter... Should have waited, I knew the A4 would have been the better choice.

Damn, that's cheap. If I had the $2k it would be mine, but it'd take me at least a month and a half to scrape up that kind of cash. I'm sure it will be gone by then at that price.

 

The car is no longer available.
However, I still the 15" alloy wheels and stock ecu that are for sale, along with a tie rod end, and maybe a coilpack.
