**** SOLD for $3,000 ****

I purchased the car from the original owner last year as a second car for myself and for visiting guests, but I have since realized how hard it is to drive two cars (and that so few people visit me). Since I don't drive it much, may as well pass this on to someone who will.

When I bought the car, I thought I would need to upgrade a few items, so I also bought control arms and inner tie rods, and a timing belt part kit (including belts, t-stat and water pump w/metal impeller). Then I took the car to an Audi specialist in Berkeley and he said "well, okay, but the car really doesn't need any of that right now.. The engine runs fine, belts look good, and only the control arm bushings are worn, but that's not a big thing. So, I guess you have the parts for when the time comes." Thus, I am including these items in the sale.

Bonus: I will include the VCDS (vag-com) diagnostics cable. All you need is a laptop and download the software, and anytime you encounter an issue or CEL, you can do the diagnostics yourself. I have never had a CEL thrown, but I'm sure it will happen at some point in the future. The cable and software cost me around $280. It's well worth it.

Flaws: The infamous "torn driver's seat" (very common with these cars), drivers floor mat is worn, and there are a few exterior flaws (see close-up photos). Given that this is a 2001 model, really the flaws are pretty minor and some should be expected at this price.

This has the AWM engine, which is an improvement over the previous engines in the A4 B5 generation (pre-mid-2000). I have all maintenance records (per the previous owner), and here are some of note:

Koni STaSIS suspension (done by STaSIS, pretty expensive) @ about 75K miles
Timing belt @ 86K mi
Central Locking Pump @ 106K miles
New Michelin Tires @ 121K miles
Heater Core replaced @ 124K miles
VC Gasket etc @ 140K miles
Alternator @ 145K miles
ABS Module replaced (by me) @ 146K miles (new Bosch part, not reman)

So, all this good stuff has already been done, and the car should be good to go for awhile (YMMV). Had the tires rotated in the last 1000 miles or so, and brakes checked out fine. Oil pressure is strong.

Located in the Laurel District in Oakland, CA. Thanks.
