I have not replaced the timing belt....but it was sold as a cert audi about 1.5 years ago per carfax(maybe then)

I have Audi inspect it about 3 months ago.

They found leaky cam adjuster seals and valve cover gaskets. ALL REPLACED NOW.
they found no other issues.

You are more then welcome to an inspection of your own.

The timing belt thing scares people. It's an expensive job to do. Audi says its good till 105K so thats why it's certified. Everyone else knows it fails way before then.

If you took trades I would be very interested. I have a 99.5 A4 with mods but no one seems interested in buying it.

If someone is uncomfortable with the timing belt they should just purchase the extended warr. from their credit union and wait for it to malfunction. the warranty companyshouldpayfor all the repairs (the last timei checked at least through my credit union).....

cheaper then the replacement of the belt. .........just a thought.
