Default FS: 2001 A8L - Immaculate Condition - PA

** ASKING $10,900 - or best reasonable offer **

We bought this last year, and it's just not the car for us I don't think. Don't get me wrong... the car is AWESOME in every respect. The wife and I both love it. It oozes class and style. has 300 or so hp stock... pretty much "instant baller status" as my friends like to bust me about. It just doesn't "fit" with what I want to do and where I want to be car-wise.

I bought the car from my boss, and have all of the maintenance history for it from basically new. all of the major and routine services have been done. The trans (the only real weak link in these cars) was replaced early in life under warranty. timing belt, pollen filters, etc... It was meticulously maintained. If it had a bad light bulb, or needed new wiper blades, it went to the dealer for that. I just had the power steering rack replaced, with new tire rod ends, and a complete alignment as well as an oilchange (synthetic of course :P ) make no mistake though... this is NOT a cheap car on maintenance.

everything on the car works 100% except
- small leak in the washer fluid system (i havent really bothered to look yet)
- one rear motorized head rest doesnt work as it should
- never got the changer cartridge for it

has pretty much any option, except for the alacantera headliner.
- solar sunroof panel which charges the battery and allows the fans to run to cool the car inside when the engine is off
- power rear window shade
- hid headlights
- heated front AND rear seats AND steering wheel

seriously... you name it, and this prob. has it as an option. I have all of the manuals, I will also turn over all of the maint. history for it as well if you so desire. we get around 25 or so with it around town. my wife drove it to h2o last fall, and got around near 30mpg with it (she has a much lighter foot than i do). i believe the front bumper cover was painted once due to stone chips (the boss drove it back and forth to the shore on the weekends as he has a couple beach houses there)

It has right around 125k on it right now, but looking at it, and driving it, you would never guess that. it is VERY tight and feels like it has half that amount of miles. I can put you in contact with my mechanic who has done the recent work, and some of the work for it prior to me owning it as well. I don't have any recent pictures, as it has been pretty crappy weather lately, but I will make it a point to get some updated ones. But this is essentially what it looks like still.

I would REALLY like to keep the monoblocks, and would purchase a set of nice 18" oem reps for it, in place of them if we came to a deal. I'm in Central PA (Harrisburg area basically - 17003) and would be willing to travel a little bit if necessary for the right deal. I have a clean and free title in hand. no banks, no liens. good to go. My internet will be limited during the day, but will check it in the morning and all evening, so feel free to post or pm me with ANY questions.

If a deal doesnt happen... unfortunately... this will most likely be the outcome if i keep the audi too long....

so please... for the love of all things holy... don't make me keep it and do that to it.

couple weeks ago had a new PS rack installed, new tie rod ends, alignment, and synth oil change (to the tune of about $1500 or so)

right now, i'd let the car go, as it sits, with the wheels on it... for $10,000

who wants it?

Would you be interested in trading for a 3000GT VR4? Here are some details about the car:

1993 3000GT VR4 with '99 front end conversion ($3000)
6000K HID Conversion ($220)
Seibon CF Hood ($650)
Greddy S BOV
IPS Hotwired Denso Fuel pump
1 Piece APCT CF Drive Shaft ($1100)
Cianci A Pillar triple Gauge pod w/ ProSport boost, Oil Pressure, A/F Ratio gauges ($350)
Custom Black Leather/Suede Seats ($700)
Custom black carpet, suede headliner ($400)
Custom leather door panel "3000GT VR4" stitching
Custom Smokin' VR4 quadruple 8" sub box (fits in trunk) with 4 brand new Polk Momo subs ($650)
'99 Rear garnish
Deft Racing VLS (vertical door lift system) ($1700)
18x9 Saleen Chrome wheels ($650)
Tein S-Tech lowering springs with new ECS Struts all around ($700)
Rear Adj. Control arms
OBX Downpipe to Borla Exhaust ($1100)

This is about $11,000 in mods alone and doesn't include minor things like window tint (20% all around minus windshield), new headunit, new speakers all around, other polished parts (in the engine, 'Smokin VR4') etc... The car has just hit 164,000 miles and is running great. I am the third owner. It has never been smoked in, no pets, and as far as the new interior goes, never been eaten/drank in. The interior was done roughly 2 years ago (about 12,000 miles). When I bought the car, the 120K service was immediately done, along with a minor engine rebuild (took it apart, new headgaskets, seals, etc...) as a precautionary measure. Turbos were also rebuilt and cleaned (these both occurred at 127,000). They burn no oil, nor have any shaft play. There are also no rear seats.

The 1993 model is one of the best years for the 3000GT VR4's as they have the stronger 4 bolt main, and all the amenities such as Electronically Controlled Suspension, All Wheel Steering, Active Aero Wing, and the removable sunroof.

This car has been babied all its life and anyone can tell you, I drive like an old man. I just gave her an oil change, rotated/balanced the tires, had an alignment done and everything checks out fine.

The few blemishes on the car are as such: there is a dent in the rear quarter panel, driver side. There is a decent scratch on the rear bumper (driver's side as well) and a smaller scratch on the wing. There has been a bra on the front end so there are little to no rock chips/scratches on the front bumper or hood. All paint is orginal minus the front bumper (which was painted during the conversion). It is also running rich due to a crack in the front header. While it doesn't affect driving, it does get slightly worse gas mileage (averages 17mpg per tank with 40% city, 60% hwy). This could be fixed by replacing the headers (about $200 in parts, another couple hundred in labor if you cannot do it yourself). I can have this done before the sale/trade but the buyer would be responsible for the cost.

Asking price: $14,999.
