Hello i just picked up a 2001 a4 1.8t auto in very nice condition but the engine is on its way out.im looking for a good engine to put in it if enyone has one please let me know thanks ron

 

How do you know it's on it's way out. Cel? Symptoms? Miles?

 

Well i just got the knowing it has a problem.its making a knocking noise from the top of the head and was told by hoffman audi in east hartford ct that it needs a cam tentioner and a oil line to the tentioner well ive done some looking into it my self and is has hardly any oil presser so i removed the oil filter and it had metal in it so the tentioner isnt working becouse it has no oil presser.but i did get the car for a great price if i can get a engine.thanks Ron
