vacuum check valve
 

hey everyone.

I just bought an B5 audi A4 1.8t quattro about a month ago. While doing my first tune-up I found a check valve near the airbox, that looks like the casing has been busted. I could not find a replacement at any of the auto stores, so in lue of paying an arm and a leg at the dealers, i was hoping someone might have an extra or part car that I could get one off of. i was hoping to get one for like $10 or less shipped to Kalamazoo, MI. Please PM me if you can help me.

Do you see a part number on the valve? You could try to buy one online at one of the many audi parts distributors:

I just ordered parts from Autohaus and added a few oversized oil filters to avoid paying for shipping.

thats still more than what I should have to pay for a check valve. I'll probably check the local junk yard, i just figured if someone on here had one. I could create good karma by buying from other members.

I saw someone parting out a couple B5s the other day. Check out the B5 section or try a quick search, you should be able to find something.
