I'd still take it though, the A2 is like a fetish, plus, it kicks the crap out of toyota prius' and honda insight, far better mileage. And its not a hybrid!
The japanese will never achieve the level of efficiency that the Germans have. My A4 turbo Quattro weighing in at a hefty 3400lb still gets better gas mileage than the new honda fit.
