'06 A3 Dash
 

Planning to buy an A3 within the next two weeks. There's one thing I can't get past...not even sure if it's my imagination. I won't get the nav system. Is there REALLY a cassette player in this dash?

Mixed tapes anyone?

Why don't you want the nav? I think it's great. Can't imagine not having it now.

Went to do the DSG v. Manual test drive today as they were out of DSG models the first time (still liking the old school manual although the DSG is cool). So I played with the Nav system a little. Also a very cool feature...I really liked it. This is mostly a commuter car...drive from the same point A to the same point B. For my lifestyle it would just be a gadget. I also see it as something we will all have in just a few more years as the technology becomes cheaper.

Another interesting note...I believe the cassette player only comes with the premium sound package. The dealership had a nut-stock A3 in the showroom that didn't have the tape deck.

The cassette function can be used to connect an Ipod. Not so old fashioned after all!
