Default 1 Month and Loving My A3

I've had my A3 for a month now and I LOVE it. The only mods I've done so far are window tint and smoked sidemarkers/blinkers. Next mod will be a chip--either APR or GIAC.

Quick question about chipping, are there any other recommended mods/upgrades I should/need to do at the same time? I just want to make sure I don't stress anything with the added HP. Thanks!

Here are a couple quick pics:

Welcome aboard! About 3 months old now and loving every freakin' driving minute of it. Getting the sidemarkers, possibly the Front License Plate filler and going for a Dogbone Insert as well (http://oooo-a3.blogspot.com/2007/09/...installed.html). I probably won't chip it til I'm out of the 50K service contract that I got with Audi as my dealer's service center (Rector) doesn't particular like "mods" of any sort.

Blackout grill would be great but sounds like a PITA if you're a DIY-er.

Always thought there were too many silver cars on the road, but to tell you the truth we dont have many on this forum that post on a regular basis. Most cars are lava, black red, or white.

I must say i like the silver congrats, get a cai and maybe an exhaust.

Hey stryker, would you suggest doing those other mods at the same time as the chip or can they be done later? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Looks great! Enjoy it as much as you can because I know I do with mine. Just a little advice, remember how much it cost and hopefully that will help you drive safely.

You don't need to do any other mods with the chip. I always suggest a boost gauge if you chip so you can monitor the boost and it helps early diagnosis of any boost problems, ie. DV, Vacuum lines, etc. The car will handle the chip just fine and work perfectly well without any additional upgrades. It will put a cheese eating grin on your face.

Cheers!

Like Chef says no need for other mods ie. cai, exhaust those just add a few hp nothing significant.

They are moreof anaudible change, hearing the sucking noise of the cai, and the throaty sound of the exhaust.

good luck.
