Smile 2.0T Quattro is on Audi's configurator

Post says it all.
Base MSRP = $30,500.
Magnetic Ride = $2,550

By the time I optioned it out with what I want I'm almost at $39k. A little expensive for my taste.

Something is messed up though. If you look at the MPG it claims that the Quattro gets better mileage than the FWD version. I am finding that hard to believe.

No, what's messed up is you can't get the sport seats with the magnetic ride.

I specifically waited for the '09 for the 2.0tQ and magnetic ride, but personally I'd rather have the sport seats than the magnetic ride. And in all honesty I'd probably use the "sport" setting pretty much never. So I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

I also noticed they got rid of many of the individual options in favor of the S-line package. Mine came to $39k as well

I dont think Quattro has better mileage than the FWD,but i have heard that the new a3's engine is 15% more efficient than the previous model, so that might've compromised the higher gas consumption for Quattro.

i don't see what you're seeing.

2.0t and 2.0tQ are almost exactly the same. 2.0tQ is better than the 3.2, but that's to be expected. here's a screenshot:

2.0t:

3.2:

From the 2.0T Quattro under the Technical Data I find this

Fuel consumption

Fuel grade Premium unleaded (91 AKI) recommended for maximum performance

City 23 mpg

Highway 31 mpg

Combined 26 mpg

From the 2.0T FWD under the Technical Data I find this

Fuel consumption

Fuel grade Premium unleaded (91 AKI) recommended for maximum performance

City 22 mpg

Highway 29 mpg

Combined 25 mpg

Not much difference admittedly but a difference in the Quattro's favor nonetheless.

hmm, yeah thats interesting. i have found audi's website to be somewhat contradicting and misleading in some places lately so i'm not really surprised.

to see what i mean check out the aruba blue a4 on the configurator and the aruba blue a3 on the configurator. the a4 looks completely turquoise while the a3 looks more true to how the color actually looks

btw, aruba blue 2.0tQ = yes please.

also, it looks like i may have been a little hasty knocking them for not allowing mag ride and the sport pkg together. the packages listing on the specs page says the mag ride includes the sport pkg, however, the configurator doesnt say anything about it. which is another case of inconsistencies on their website.

only reason i got the 3.2 is because it had the quattro and now that they have 2.0t in quattro!
