2002 Audi a3 tdi quattro gearbox problems
 

Hi there as the title says i have a 2002 audi a3 tdi quattro and today out of the blue the gearbox packed in, i have gears 3 4 5 and 6 perfect, but reverse 1 and 2 just arent there i looked at the linkages and you can see it move when it goes in all gears but just doesnt engage in r 1 or 2, also the clutch does sometimes slip so could this be the cause or is it the gearbox.

any advice would be appreciated cheers
