Default 2008 A3 AUX input

I just bought a 2008 A3. It has an AUX input in the center console. However, I am having trouble getting it to work. How do I select AUX on radio system. I have the basic radio that come with the car including Sirius Satellite radio. I read the manual and, well it is just not the clear. Thanks for your help.

Push your CD button and the AUX will show up. I use it from my IPOP.

I tried what you suggested but the my iphone 3G is still not working with the AUX jack. I have Sirius radio installed too, do you think this could be a problem?

I was under the impression the 2008s were different since they had a dedicated AUX jack. Anyone know the answer to this question?

In the system UI, select "CD/SD" and then click the "Source" segment (I believe it's top right), then select AUX as the source.

Make sure your iPod/iPhone is at like 70% volume at least and see if you get any results. Also, make sure you have an iPHONE COMPATIBLE mini-stereo cable!! If you have the first generation (non 3G) iphone, then the recessed headphone plug prevents most common mini-stereo cables from connecting properly.

I don't believe the Sirius feature has anything to do with this.

Aux in should only need a signal. Did you press AND HOLD the CD button for a couple of seconds? Display should switch to AUX. For iPods, you can run a cable from the headphone jack which makes the volume on the iPod AND the car work (bad) or run a cable from the docking port which is a true line out signal (better). Only prob there is that you can't recharge at the same time so you'll need to stop driving every 15 hours or so... Agree with msodrew that sat radio should be irrelevant.

Is the AUX input new only to the 08 model? Is there an Aux input on a 07 A3 Concert?
