The poorly engineered plastic latch responsible for holding my rear sunroof shade closed has given up the ghost.

Trying to figure out the part to purchase and how to replace it, given that the rear glass does not open. Audi dealer quoted me some stupid amount in part and labor. Any pointers?

 

it is the whole long thing holding the shade, and requires the head liner to be removed to change that part.
