I purchased a 2009 A3 used about 2 months ago. It passed inspection and all the lights and everything worked fine until yesterday. My wife drives it every day and noticed yesterday that the bulb out indicator was on. When i went to check and see which one was out i noticed that 9 of her exterior bulbs were out. She also stated that her stereo controls on the steering wheel dont always work and even sometimes the controls on the stereo itself dont work. Im not sure if these issues are related or not. Does anyone have any idea what could have caused this? Or has anyone else had a similar issue? Ill replace the bulbs and hope for the best i guess. The bulbs were not all together either. There were 3 in the back and the rest were the headlights and 1 fog. Its wierd. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

Well i probably should have read a few posts ahead of posting this. Apparently this isnt a first. Hopefully the knowledge of the tsb's and other with the fuse box issues will help me at the dealership tomorrow.

 

Please keep us informed of the cause and correction. I've had nothing like this with my 06 but have a good friend with an 09 and have seen the other threads as well.

 

Little update... The car is with an audi dealership that I've dealt with for a while. They are currently uncertain of what the cause is but will be bringing Audi USA in on Monday for assistance. Hopefully I'll have more then.
