2009 A3 - When will we see these in US showrooms?
I am in the market for an A3. Looks like they are making some interesting updates to the 2009 model starting June 2008.
This will be my first Audi, and I'm not up to date on their release cycle. Any guesses as to when we will start seeing the 2009 models roll in? Makes sense to wait a few months, but can't wait too much longer.

I wouldn't think we would see them for awhile, If you can wait it out id say go for the 09. I know the a4 is getting a new sickk make-over but im not 100% sure the A3 is but im pretty sure.

I've been lurking for the last month or so and finally registered. Great sources of info here.
I put my order in over 2 weeks ago for a new 3.2. Just got a call yesterday from my saleman telling me that my order would be pushed back a month since there are no allocated orders for A3's anywhere in the U.S. for this month. The good news is that I'll be getting an '09 (according to him). Not sure if they're going to try and hit me up for more $$$'s or what.
So what are some of the known updates for the 09's? I'm foolishly optimistic that they'll be bringing back the Ice Blue metallic exterior, as that would've been my top choice in '07.

Test drove the new A4 yesterday. It only had the 1.8T engine, but the interior is super sweet!
Love the LEDs on the front lights, styling looks great, and the interior is wonderful! Touch a button to set the parking brake, no lever. And everything inside just so Audi and nice. Performance wise though, it doesn't hold a candle to my chipped-TDI. So, scratch the A4 off of cars I might be interested in..so keep waiting and dreaming about the A5 3.0 TDI.
As for the update on the 2009s, there IS a major styling upgrade in the works. The 2009 changes remain mostly cosmetic as far as I know. The model that is coming afterwards though is a major revision of the car...I think I read it will also include an A3 sedan...as the new A4 is A6 size, so the A3 will get bigger to move into the old A4 size category. Even still though, if I didn't need a new car NOW...I would hold out for the new model if I only had to wait 4-6 months. Nothing would feel worse to be in your brand new A3 and see another guy beside you with a car only a few months newer than yours but with updated styling.
