If so I'm all over it.

but then they also said they would sell the Rabbit diesel in the states for 2008 but that never happened.

I'd only be interested in the diesel if it saves enough moeny in fuel cost to pay for itself in two years or less. Otherwise I'm happy enough with the 2.0T
