A3 2.0T Hard Starting

My 2007 2.0T has been taking longer to start in the morning. It cranks but takes a while to start. Seems like a fuel issue. Is better on subsequent restarts throughout the day. Anyone have this problem?

No problems with my girls A3 starting. A few years back I had that issue with my scion....and it was new. Sounds like a dealer issue....especially if its new.

I have an 06 A3 with 67000 on it and I occasionally have the same problem. It is not consistent, but has happened since I bought it new. The dealer usually does some updates and such to solve the problem. My car took a couple of cranks last week and hasn't happened since. It only happens in the morning when it occurs. Could be the gas? Fall and winter is when it is the worst. Where are you located? Next time you take it to the dealer, tell them about it.

Cheers

HI- how many miles on your car? and have you taken the car in for service recently? There was a TSB- ecu update- for the current A3s- you may want to contact your dealer about updates. I had intermittent hard start ups before theyve updated the ecu/flash- havent had that problem. If your car is chipped- the update will likely flash it off- but of course you can have it re=flashed by the aftermarket tuner you got it from.

lemme know if that helped
