A3 8P - Seat bolt question
 

Hi All

I more or less successfully replaced the seats in my A3 8P. However one of the bolts has been cross threaded and whatever the bolt goes into is totally stuffed. I can't find anything on the web or in Haynes about where exactly the bolt goes into - it feels like a loose plate or fixed nut of some sort.

If anyone could explain what the bolt screws into, and what it's called, and if it's at all fixable that would be fantastic. Left seat, front left bolt, if that helps.
