A3 No Sound from Head Unit
 

Hi All, This is my first post (new to the forum). I've just taken ownership of my first Audi (WISH ME LUCK), It's a 2005 A3 2.0L TDI Sportback, it has the standard Concert CD/Radio but there is NO SOUND WHATSOEVER - not even a "Click" when you switch it on. The radio is all working showing tuned to a station and all the buttons work e.g vol, tone etc. however the CD does not accept a cd. Previous owner's kids threw money into the slot. I was thinking maybe the unit thinks it in CD mode or the main board has shorted as 2p's are good conductors. I've checked the fuse for the AMP in the engine bay in case it has one all ok.

Before I buy another Concert and find the same issue, I need to make sure that there's not a amp in the circuit just in case that has gone? Does this old banger have an AMP?? and where is it? Or could it be something I've missed.
